Texas is paving the way for parental rights, where innocent families are shielded from the harmful consequences of false accusations.
We are dedicated to advocating for the Parental Rights Amendment, a crucial legislative measure that safeguards the rights and autonomy of parents.
In a world where education and parental rights are under attack, we applaud the Texas legislators who took a stand for freedom in the 88th Texas Legislative Session. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts in passing bills that directly benefit families. It’s time to pause and gratefully acknowledge each statesman for their remarkable work this session! CPS OMNIBUS BILL Representative Frank and his staff did it again with the passage of HB 730! With due process protections and the requirement for CPS caseworkers to inform parents of their legal rights, this bill [...]
With our priority CPS reform bill, HB 730, we are leading the charge to implement significant reforms in the CPS system, protect parental rights, and ensure accountability for this powerful agency.
Statement by President Biden: "There is no such thing as someone else's child...Our nation's children are all our children."
The Texas Legislative session continues to have plenty of action on the parental rights front! A few weeks ago, the Family Freedom Project (FFP) gave testimony in the Texas House Juvenile Justice and Family Issues (JJFI) against HB 956 which is a broad and direct attack on the fundamental rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit. The bill is now officially dead in the Texas House, as it has missed the deadline to receive a vote on the house floor. This bill has been filed every session for more than a decade with the purpose [...]
By Tim Lambert With so much going on in the legislature to do with parental rights, I have dubbed this Texas Legislative Session the Parental Rights Session. I call it that because many bills that are being filed and heard are related to the fundamental, God-given right of parents to raise their children as they see fit. Another evidence of that is the fact that several Texas Constitutional Amendments have been filed and are moving in both the Texas House and Senate. The process for amending the Texas Constitution requires the support of ⅔ of both the Texas House and [...]
Protecting future generations happens one step at a time. We continue to champion the Parental Rights Amendment (PRA) to the TX Constitution.
On April 13, House Bill 730 was voted out of committee in the Texas House after receiving a positive hearing the week before. The bill provides extensive pro-family reforms to Child Protective Services (CPS) investigative procedures. The bill received a very positive reception, which is promising news for Texas families and children. CPS is a governmental agency tasked with the responsibility of investigating and intervening in cases of child abuse and neglect. The agency has the authority to remove children from their homes if they believe that the child's safety and welfare are at risk. However, CPS's investigative procedures have been [...]
We have officially passed the halfway point of the 88th Texas Legislative Session. The deadline for filing bills has come and gone – at the forefront of bills filed concerns parental choice in education. The Family Freedom Project is prioritizing a constitutional amendment that would protect the right of parents to make decisions for their children, including in the realm of education. Through our sister organization, the Texas Home School Coalition (THSC), we are also prioritizing a constitutional amendment that would specifically protect homeschools and private schools from state regulation. This is the year of parental rights in the Texas Legislature. [...]
